Numerical investigations of micro bubble drag reduction effect for container ships

In the course of most recent decades reduction ship resistance and saving fuel consumption to accomplish higher speed with pollutants has been significant subject for researchers. Micro bubble drag technique is one interesting thoughts in this field owing its great advantages, such as considerable potential reduction, easy operations, environmental friendliness low costs. study a 3-D numerical investigation into frictional by air micro bubbles applied on KRISO container model. The objective understand mechanism through injection under model at different Froude numbers, rate volume fractions. simulations are performed using commercial CFD code solving Reynolds averaged Navier–Stokes (RANS) equations. A large number investigate effect hull estimate local coefficient friction values along results show that all examined Froude’s attained rates maximum 27.6% was obtained 0.282 4.8% fraction.
